Happy Sunday everyone!
I’m writing to announce The MusicianShip’s first ever student showcase titled, “Dianne’s Recital”! You may recall learning about The MusicianShip when the organization’s Executive Director Jeffrey Tribble was spotlighted as a “Millennial on a Mission” in April, as well as the amazing work they are doing with students here in The District. On Wednesday, August 7th at 7 PM in the Woodrow Wilson High School auditorium however, the students of The MusicianShip will honor founder Dianne Grainger and perform for their families, friends and community as they culminate their summer learning experience. I’m so excited to serve as a member of the host committee for this spectacular event, and even more excited to see The MusicianShip’s talented students show us what they’ve got!
About The MusicianShip:
“The MusicianShip is a 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit organization that facilitates music lessons, experiences and opportunities. While our mission is not exclusive to any one particular group, we are focused on at-risk youth as they benefit most from positive outreach and music scholarship preparation. We are vetted and approved by the DC Public Schools as an official After-School service provider, allowing us to deliver free music instruction to students who may not otherwise have such opportunities.” In addition, the organization provides business and peer-to-peer mentoring opportunities for its students.
“Dianne’s Recital” will take place in the newly renovated auditorium of Woodrow Wilson High School, located at 3950 Chesapeake St N.W. Tickets are $15 and $25 respectively, and can be purchased here: http://themusicianshiprecital.eventbrite.com. Proceeds from the event will be dedicated towards The MusicianShip’s initiative of changing lives with music. And if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly.
I look forward to seeing you ALL on Wednesday evening, and thank you so much for your support!
